In a bright green forest lived a tiny sparrow named Chirpy.
He was small… very small.
Other birds flew high in the sky, but Chirpy could only fly from tree to tree.
The crow teased him,
“You are too weak!”
Chirpy felt sad, but every night he said to himself,
“Tomorrow, I will try again.”
One night, something strange happened.
The moon hid behind dark clouds.
The forest became very quiet.
No crickets… no owls… no sounds at all.
Suddenly—
“Help… help…”
A soft whisper came from deep inside the forest.
Chirpy’s heart beat fast. 💓
“Who is there?” he chirped.
Again—
“Help… I’m trapped…”
All the big birds were asleep.
No one moved.
Chirpy was scared.
“What if it’s dangerous?” he thought.
“But what if someone really needs help?”
Taking a deep breath, Chirpy flew toward the sound.
The trees looked taller.
Shadows moved on the ground.
Chirpy shook with fear.
Suddenly—
THUMP!
Chirpy stopped.
There, in the dark, was a little rabbit, stuck in a thorny bush.
He was crying quietly.
“I didn’t want to scare anyone,” the rabbit sobbed.
“I was afraid no one would help me…”
Chirpy felt brave now.
Chirpy chirped as loud as he could—
“HELP! HELP!”
His small voice echoed in the silent forest.
One by one, animals woke up.
The deer came.
The elephant came.
Even the big birds came flying down.
Together, they freed the rabbit.
When the clouds moved away, the moon shone brightly again.
The crow looked at Chirpy and said softly,
“We thought being big made us brave…
but you were the bravest of all.”
Chirpy smiled, his wings shining in the moonlight.
